This is not a rant or a tirade; it is a discussion on the state of my hobby and the choices that I am making due to a multitude of factors. The factors range from a new job, family, money, time, and simple good old fun. Like the picture indicates, I have come to one of those forks in life's road and I have had to make a few decisions concerning how I will spend my hobby time and money.
Be Forewarned that there is change ahead...

Kingdom-Con 2012: A Top to Bottom Review
Kingdom-Con 2012 has come and gone and it is time for a thorough review of the entire weekend. This was the first Convention style event attended by Snake-Eyes and myself; our other 40K Grand Tournament events were stand-alone affairs. Due to the fact that we did play more than just 40K, I decided that I would provide a review off the event in its entirety.

Competitive Play and the Casual Gamer
This past weekend I went
to Kingdom-Con 2012 and participated in the 6 round 40K tournament held by
Reece and the fine crew from Team
Zero Comp/Frontline Gaming. Despite the fact in the past 8 weeks I have
managed to play a whooping 2 games, I was still looking forward to the
tournament and the chances to play 6 games of 40K; quadrupling my games played
in the last 2 months. My performance there taught me some interesting about
both myself and the nature of competitive play.
