40K Video Battle Report: Necrons vs. Deathwing

While there has been a lot of Malifaux on the blog this past week or so, we haven't forgotten about 40K; and for your viewing pleasure, we have a battle report featuring Monster Rain's Necrons vs. Snake-Eyes' Deathwing.

TTW is Off to Kingdom-Con

Magilla Gurilla & I are off to the 3-Day event known as Kingdom-Con.. 

Mags talked a tad about it already but I wanted to throw in my 2cents as well. For this tournament, the Blood Angels are staying home and the Deathwing are making their 1st major tournament appearance (in my hands, at least). I've been playing them exclusively in the last few small tournaments I've participated in so I'm looking forward to taking them out on the grand stage.

This 1750pt tournament runs 6 games over 2 days and it's being ran by Reece and the Frontline Gaming Crew, which means all 3 BrB missions are in play at once, it's only the deployment that changes between games. I really prefer this style of tournament as I have a simple mind and weird scenarios with battle points just confuse me :)

IronMan: Part Deux

After a few more days than I had planned, I'm getting back to the rest of my battles form our 40K IronMan held a few weekends ago. The first part of my day is chronicled here and the rest of my day went like this...

TSG 40K IronMan: First Half Report

This past weekend our FLGS (Thou Shalt Game) in Temecula, CA, held it's 1st Annual 40k IronMan. I don't think we talked about it a lot here on TTW but it was ran by our own Magilla Gurilla and attracted gamers from all around the SoCal area.

The format encompassed 4 games in one day at 1500pts with BAO Style missions where all 3 BRB missions are in play at once with the "Primary" mission rotating for the particular round. Tie Breakers went to straight up Victory Points. So a "Primary" win was worth 20pts, "Secondary" was 17, "Tertiary" 14, and a VP win was worth 11pts. Loses scaled from there as 9 for a VP loss, then 6, 3, and 0 for a Primary loss.

TTW Presents: The Angels of Death

It seems my beloved Eagle Warriors have come full circle, the Buyer I had backed out of our deal and they have once again been returned to my possession. It's not a bad thing really, I had already come to miss my Bikes so I was glad to take them back. However, just prior to their return I had decided to acquire Mags' Deathwing army. Since he was moving on to Grey(Green) Knights, I really had no desire to collect the same army as him so we worked out a deal where I would get his Deathwing and he would take a majority of my Grey Knights boxes off of my hands.
